Owners across multiple generations (Series 5, Series 7) report 15-20+ years of daily use, often needing only a battery re-solder or blade/foil swap to keep going. Some units eventually fail after decades (switch mechanism), and OEM replacement heads can cost nearly as much as a new razor.

My first electric razor when I was 18 or so! Loved that thing, died on me around 2018.
Braun Series 5 Electric Razor - used daily since 2005
I have a Series 5 from 2012, never changed the baterry, and still works.
Braun stuff from that time is amazing - my electric razor is still going strong after 20 years and still keeps a good charge!
The case is now held together with duct tape, but the razor still works perfectly. I have changed the blades several times, and the foil fairly frequently.
it lasted until last year when the sliding on/off mechanism broke
the head costs as much as the whole thing to replace... Absolutely stupid.
