Why it's buy-it-for-life
Owners describe decades of daily carry with a single Sebenza, citing CRK's ability to service and refresh well-worn knives and even swap blades, making it something passed down rather than replaced.
What owners say
Several commenters report carrying a Sebenza daily for 20-25+ years, with one noting they swapped their original blade for a Damascus one about 15 years in and send it back to CRK for a refresh roughly once a decade, planning to pass it on to their son. Others echo the same long-term ownership ("great knife" after ~10 years, one "literally a BIFL piece"), while a lone dissenting comment raises concerns about the company's owner rather than the knife's durability.

Look into supporting a company that actually has values that align with your own. I caution anyone looking into these knives to look into the owner Chris reeves and see all the horror stories that are out there.

Finally replaced my stolen Sebenza 25 with a Large 31 in Magnacut. CRK is my go to BIFL edc knife.
I just got the same knife a few months back. Literally a BIFL piece.
I've had my large Sebenza for 25 years now. Daily carry, and I mean DAILY. I swapped my original blade for a Damascus one about 15 years ago. I send it in about once every 10 years for a refresh.
I got a large sebenza years a ago maybe 10 great knife
Good choice. I've carried one for a quarter of a century.
I'm a little bit jealous. I am only one of those for a couple decades now.
