I have a pair of these buffalo African Rangers and a pair of Shoellies from Jim Green. Both are great... For the money, they are excellent boots.

about 200 ish miles on them including a goodly amount of mud and hard scree/gravel walking. They clean up nicely and they are resolable which is a plus for me!
Jim Green boots are fantastic. Possibly the best quality to price ratio you can find right now... durable, ethical (within the realm of leather goods, at least) and affordable.
Grew up in a pair of their farm boots... they were always good quality and good value for money.
