One owner has carried the same Charge XTi since Christmas 2006, using it two to three times a week — including as a makeshift hammer and pry bar. The only damage after nearly two decades was a snapped knife tip, and Leatherman offered a free replacement blade if mailed in.

I got a Leatherman Charge XTi for Christmas of 2006... it's held up like a champ. The only damage besides superficial scratches is a snapped knife tip from using it as a pry bar, and Leatherman offered to swap in a new knife for free.
