Refurbished Lenovos are great budget laptops
Lenovo thinkpads, even the second hand ones will last.
Take a look at Thinkpads large businesses order in bulk, they are robust and are moderately repairable.
Buy an older thinkpad like the T15 or newer, non-slim or X series. Make sure the RAM isn't soddered on and the NVME/storage isn't soddered on.
Can't go wrong with a ThinkPad. I have an X1 Carbon and couldn't imagine anything else now.
