Patagonia is the goat. Their motto for Worn Wear is Repair, Reuse, Recycle.
The Patagonia feels very comfortable and well broken in on day 1 and the liner material on the inside makes putting on and taking off the jacket very easy.

Patagonia fjord flannel is a jack of all trades and super comfortable.
Patagonia Fjord, at least as a woman this is the only option that uses the same thickness as the men's version.
