use some leather conditioner on them and shine them regularly and you should be able to resole them at least 1 more time.

Just got my boots(Redwing super sole steel toe)back from being resoled... The ones I got back are 5 years old, probably going to make it at least another 5.
I bought a pair of wings last year... those bad boys have been holding up for 4 years now, 48 hours a week.
10 years out my last pair. Quality has very obviously gone down hill since then on my new pair but still better than any other options available for me.
I wore my pair like that today. I got them on 9/11. As in 9/11/2001. They're getting close to retirement tho.
Absolute worst pair of boots I've ever owned. I think my feet just don't like their design.
They be life shoes. Mine are 45 years old & on it's 3rd set of soles. ProTip: Use great boot wax.
