the reason speed queens last so long is because they're easy to work on and replace parts. Not that they don't breakdown.

Just get the speed queen repaired - by another shop if needed. No need to throw the baby out with the bath water.

Speed Queen is highly overrated... they are small and the ones that clean well are also hard on clothing and super loud.

Still using the same washer and dryer today so yes kind of happy we didn't sell them.

Take it with you unless you are obligated to leave it (happens a lot in house sale contracts).

I asked him what brand he recommends. He said hands down, Speed Queen.

Mom & pop appliance store I use talked me out of Speed Queen.

Bought our speed queen washer & dryer in 2007! It's still going great!

What about actual buy it for life's, examples SubZero & Speed Queen.

Speed Queen isn't what it once was... they cut cost and make less quality products

I left the Queen, and regretted it as the machine that came with the new place died within a year. Take your Queen with you!

buy some cheapie off marketplace and take your Queen with you where she deserves to be

I concluded the high price point is exclusively due to its longevity/repairability/reliability etc, but otherwise is kind of loud and hard on clothes.

I love my Speed Queen. I'm happy to have a washer again that actually lets you wash in HOT water...My home machine cleaned much better than the laundromat commercial machines.

TC5 user here and only have had good experiences with it. A bit noisy, but gets the job done...No tear or rips.

He recommends SpeedQueen top-load washers.

im on my way to get a speed queen ive gad them all and man they do not get ir clothes clean and theres alway an error code.im tired of them

Many others TC5 / TR7 all have modern PCB control boards that are subject to failure like a cheapie from the box store.

Spent money on a top loading speed queen washer.

I bought this same combo about a year ago and have been very happy with it.

I have different models but the same set up, Speed Queen washer and a whirlpool dryer.

My daughter sold her house on the first day it went to market for full asking price because the sellers wanted her matching set of Speed Queens.

I am tossing my SP dryer. It leaves black marks on my linens & light clothing...SP paid to replace the drum at year 2 under warranty...Now, at year 4, it's making a scraping noise and I'm told drum needs to be replaced.

I have a SQ and really enjoy it - it actually cleans my clothes.

I had residue on my clothing...when I first got my speed queens. I reduced the amount of detergent I was using by like half...it did work to get rid of the residue.

Got our speed queen about 2 years ago and no issues with clothing damage or wash quality luckily. Replaced a front load samsung and would never buy anything other than SQ from now on tbh.
