Why it's buy-it-for-life
A redditor with sensitive skin to synthetics says Supima cotton is the best fabric they've found, and picks these up at Uniqlo for $20-25 each.
What owners say
Opinions are split on whether Uniqlo counts as BIFL: several commenters call it fast fashion, with one saying their Uniqlo clothes disintegrated in the wash, while others argue it's more a current fad than a lifetime buy. Against that, one owner reports rotating three Uniqlo Supima cotton tees for about six months with no visible wear, doubting they'll literally last a lifetime but saying they'll outlast a typical tee, and noting Uniqlo's Airism line is 'mid' by comparison.

Uni Qlo is definitely not bifl imo, but nice finds
Two Uniqlo tee shirts. No idea how much they retail, but this brand is one of my favorites for quality.
I've been rotating through three Uniqlo supima cotton tees for about six months now and they still look brand new. Will they last for life? Probably not. Will they last as long or longer than any other tee? Absolutely.
Uni Qlo is fast fashion unfortunately. I've had their clothes before and they disintegrate in the wash.
The absolute best thing I found is Supima cotton. They sell T-shirts at Uniqlo for 20 to 25 bucks each.
Uniqlo isn't BIFL. A current fad maybe but that's about it. Flip for profit if they were cheap enough
