An owner of both Leatherman multitools and this Pioneer alox settled on the SAK for having exactly the tools they use and nothing extra, preferring to carry pliers/scissors as standalone tools rather than folded into a bulkier multitool.

SAK Pioneer in the silver alox finish. It's exactly the amount of tools I need without the stuff I'd never use. It doesn't have the better pliers/scissors functionality of the Leathermans, but having owned both in the past I'm sort of thinking that pliers/scissors are better just carried in their actual forms, and leave the multitools for other stuff.
