I've been eyeballing the Victorinox Super Tinker since it's the one I always see, but I've never loved the quality of their blades, they seem to degrade faster than I'd like.
Victorinox is BIFL, they have repair services and lifetime warranties. Their steel is made for corrosion resistance first, more than heavy use.
The Super Tinker is a classic, but if the blade quality bugs you, check out the Ranger Grip series bigger, sturdier, and locks in place.
Victorinox are BIFL items. I still use my grandfathers Swiss knife. They are made of the best steel possible. You just need to take care of them and sharpen them like every other steel
