Why it's buy-it-for-life
Repeatedly recommended as quality, buy-it-for-life grade shears; pairs get passed down for generations — one redditor's 1920s Wiss Inlaid tailoring shears, inherited from a great-grandfather, are still their go-to for cutting fabric and light leather a century later, and spring-loaded models can cut through solid 10-gauge copper wire with ease.

this is my default cutting tool for fabric and light leather
I couldn't believe how sharp they were. Cut fabric like butter.
Seattle fabrics has a slew of Mundial and Wiss scissors in various styles and sizes. Both are definitely bifl grade.
Hop on eBay and buy an old pair of Wiss scissors.
I found a drawer of 3 of these and about six smaller wiss scissors in my dad's toolbox.
Wiss makes quality shears like these. They also have nice spring loaded scissors ... can cut thru solid 10 gauge copper wire with ease.
