Bought this thing in high school, about 12 years ago. Used it quite often to cut the clamp shell flanges... Never have to resharpen the blades.
You're right, perfect for opening clamshell packaging.
I have this, too!... bought it in 2008... these days I mostly use it to open Amazon boxes using the little box cutter on the bottom. It's still available at enjoyzibra.com
I have the same thing in orange. The only thing that broke is the flimsy little locking mechanism... Chomps through almost any packaging though. Love the thing.
Still use mine every “package out for delivery” day!
