Redditors report units still firing after roughly 65 years with only routine maintenance (vacuuming, replacing the fuel filter housing), despite the original filter design having been discontinued since 1985 and technicians saying they've never seen one this old still working.

Crane Sunnyday boiler, model No. faded away years ago... They don't make 'em like that anymore!
running one of these old oil units could very easily cost you $1000+ per month in fuel... Kind of a no brainer to upgrade it.
Just because it works doesn't mean it's worth using... Replaced them with non condensing direct vents that are 95 efficient.
That looks like a model 15, I have the same one... ours has been running pretty much with out problems since the 50?s.
