I have a few and I love them and they are worth the trade off in certain applications. Like flashlights if you want to get full power all the time.

For every battery you now have electronics inside them to charge them... Making them LESS eco friendly compared to normal rechargeable batteries

As far as I know, EBL is not known for it durability.

those EBL batteries use Li-ion which in of itself isn't great environmentally... it might shorten their lifespan artificially
