As far as I know it was purchased before I was born 1984 and is still the go to cooler... Has held up incredibly well for the 40 years I have known it.

I'm always concerned about older coolers and plastic containers releasing BPAs especially is pours.
I have the red one and it was handed down to me from my parent's... It's a great cooler and I see no reason to replace it any time soon!
