Why it's buy-it-for-life
No motor means one less failure point; a thick solid wood or solid oak top rated to hold 300+ lbs. Multiple owners report 5-6 years of daily home-office use with no issues, though some find the crank slow and the height range too narrow for very short or tall users.

Buy the Husky adjustable workbench. $300 ish and it'll last a long time.

I have a husky desk that is mainly designed for shop work that's hand crank. I can't imagine it would even notice anything less than a person on its surface.

I'm using a husky adjustable work table 72 inch with two shelves. The thing is a tank
DO NOT get the Husky that people are recommending. I tried it out and it does not go low enough for a short person or high enough for a tall person
get a manual crank Husky Adjustable Height Work Table from Home Depot... I have had mine for about 5 or 6 years
Get a Husky adjustable workbench from Home Depot. 300 bucks, inch thick slab of solid oak
Solid wood top, two full length drawers, significantly less expensive
I got a shop table with a lift crank... Husky and it's a 72" long slab of 2.5" solid wood
