Why it's buy-it-for-life
Owners praise its build quality and ice retention as among the best they've used, but the brand's 2025 shutdown means its lifetime warranty is no longer reliably honored, so buying new is now a gamble.

In their closing email, they said not to worry as warranties will still be honored by X company. This was a bald faced lie... I'd expect the same thing from Orca

The Orca and Yeti are great at ice retention, the Rtic not as good. Have tested these on many camping trips throughout the Southwest. RIP Orca.

The 2025 Shutdown of ORCA Coolers
Gathr will not accept returns on previously shipped product, and it will honor parts warranties for the next year.
I have a few of their cooler and they were my favorite. I'm guessing they were bought by private equity and killed off
Orca made great coolers, but so does Yeti and RTIC... the only reason to buy one would be to support the little guy at the expense of gambling with a warranty.
We're they popular though? Just another in a long list of Yeti copycats.
Lifetime warranty is all too often only for the life of the company offering it.
