the Defender cases will have their rubber shell stretch and deform. The port covers are also liable to fall off with repeated use.

Who swears by an Otterbox Defender despite the negative feedback it often receives?
The issue is with the port cover itself. It came off after two months for me.
I used to swear by otterbox until the latest purchase. Too expensive and didn't last before it fell apart. No warranty

they do eventually break but they're very durable. the port cover is one of the weakest parts though, the rubber tends to eventually wear through and tear off
