It is ~6-7 years young, and still looks brand new. Not only does it look pretty, it is SO comfortable!
Crate and Barrel is not BIFL. It's a mixed bag, mostly mediocre but fashionable.
This couch will not last a lifetime. It is just a regular couch. You should have bought a metal frame couch.
I have the Axis by C&B as well! It's about four years old now and feels like new.
